2024 YCN Workshop in Tampere

EMC and YCN are partnering to support young researchers in their scientific writing. With our ECerS Writing Retreat, we aim to provide an environment for researchers to develop their dissemination skills and to fully focus on writing their scientific publications.

The Writing Retreat will take place on May 2nd- 5th at Murikanranta Oy in Teisko (Tampere), with a welcome on May 2nd early evening and departure after lunch on May 5th. The YCN Workshop will be organised prior to yCAM 2024.

Break away from daily commitments and distractions and kickstart your writing project!

Protected writing time and a group dedicated to a shared goal create optimal conditions for focused work with fast progress. A remote, unfamiliar location is best for a writing retreat: it disrupts the usual (unproductive) routines and opens a window for sustainable change. We will spend 2 full days (May 3rd and 4th) with lectures and tips on getting published and plenty of time dedicated to writing. The Writing Retreat will also provide an open setting to get non-coauthor input from experienced researchers on all publishing process matters.
