Report on ECerS Industrial Working Group (IWG) – Cerame Unie meeting

The meeting was held on 12th July 2022, during the Ceramics in Europe conference held in Krakow, Poland. 

Within ECerS the Industrial Working Group is endorsing a better and more up-to-date knowledge regarding traditional ceramics, concrete, tiles, bricks, cements, tableware industry, participating in the creation of such synergistic partnerships particularly with regard to the ceramic science and industry in Europe.

During last ECerS Conference (Ceramics in Europe 2022) that was held in Krakow, Poland, from 7th till 13th July 2022, the Director General of Cerame Unie, Dr Renaud Batier, was invited by the ECerS Industrial Working Group in order to discuss about possible collaboration with ECerS but also to present the "Ceramic Roadmap to 2050" that Cerame Unie published lately to the conference participants. This presentation was very well received by the audience consisting mainly of academics, university professors, but also industrialist.

Cerame Unie – The European Ceramic Industry Association - represents the European ceramic industry. The Cerame Unie mission is to ensure that the voice of this competitive, dynamic and innovative Ceramic industry is heard at the EU level. 

Further discussions are planned in the next terms to explore the mutual benefits between ECerS and Cerame Unie.
