The Journal of the European Ceramic Society was ranked No. 1 in the category Materials Science – Ceramics in the latest Clarivate Analytics Journal Citation Reports (2019) with an Impact Factor of 4.495.

The Journal has been top since 2014 and is also top in the 5 year impact factor and the Article Influence Score, which is a measure of the quality of papers published. Accepted articles are typically available online in 15 weeks, which compares favourably with other high-quality international journals.
Profits from the Journal are used to support ceramics research and other activities through the JECS Trust.
