09/25 - 14th CASC Summer School in Ceramics

The 14th edition of the CASC Summer school on ceramics is scheduled for the 8-10th of September 2025 and will take place at the Royal School of Mines in London

This Summer school is designed for early career engineers and scientists from industry and academia who want to enhance their knowledge on both ceramic processing and structural properties and is articulated around core and guest lectures changing every year.

This year the guest lecturers will be Prof. Dong Liu (University of Oxford) on failure in compression and damage mechanics, Prof. Gerard Vignoles (LCTS, Universite de Bordeaux) on processing of Ceramic Matrix Composites, Dr. Xufei Fang (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT) on dislocation in ceramics and Dr. Esther Garcia-Tunon (University of Liverpool) on rheology in processing of ceramics.

Registration for this year's Summer School is £700. It includes access to the lectures and labs, accommodation for two nights (Monday and Tuesday) and meals during the whole course.

Registration is now open following this link.

Deadline for registration is the 1st of August but we have limited spaces.
